Lone Star Ag Credit, headquartered in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a Summer Intern to work the Fort Worth from June 1st through July 31st, 2020.  This position will work with Marketing assisting in the planning and execution of events along with various other Marketing related tasks. 

Position Description and Scope:

Full-time, paid position for Summer 2020. Internship term will be June 1st through July 31st, 2020. The internship is based out of the LSAC Headquarter office in Fort Worth, TX. Students will be expected to relocate for the summer term at their own expense.

The Marketing Coordinator Intern provides support to the Marketing & Communications team in their execution of the marketing and communications direction plans. The intern's responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assisting in the planning and execution of events
  • Research projects as needed
  • Assisting in sponsorship meetings, contract work, trade show ideas/setup
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of photo shoots
  • Budget meetings with HQ and Branches
  • Attend EEC meetings and support events as needed
  • Coordinate meetings, conference calls and provide support as needed
  • Supporting the development of internal and external content
  • Meet with each member of the MarComm team to learn different facets of marketing

Education and Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma and enrollment at an accredited university (at the time of the internship) in at least a Bachelor's Degree Program with a field of study in Ag Marketing, Communications, Finance, or other degree plan that supports a career in Marketing and Communications; student should be of good academic standing (minimum 2.75 overall GPA); should be enrolled as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student at the time of the Internship, with a preference for students completing their degree studies in the fall of 2019 or spring of 2020.

Skill Requirements:

Skill in oral and written communication. Basic skill level in Microsoft personal computer operating, networking systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Previous work experience in financial industry is helpful but not required. Evidence of leadership skills. Should be team oriented, cooperative and show a strong work ethic.

Working Relationship:

Frequent interaction with branch managers, departmental staff and management. Occasional interaction with CEO.
